Aquaponics with Applied Permaculture Design
It is the joining together of aquaculture, the farming of fish, and hydropinics, the farming of plants in water, where the roots of the plant are suspended in fertilized water. It is a model that mimics nature and can express a regenerative and sustainable model. When permaculture principals are added to the design of the system, the possibilites become endless!

Aquaponics: What is it?
It is the joining together of aquaculture, the farming of fish, and hydropinics, the farming of plants in water, where the roots of the plant are suspended in fertilized water. It is a model that mimics nature and can express a regenerative and sustainable model.
More to come.
Fish & Plant Species:
My choice of fish species for aquaponics farming is the Rainbow Trout.
Other fish species include:
Blue Gill
Channel Catfish
Tilapia(not my favorite)
Crawfish
Freshwater shrimp
